Owners Approve 50 Percent Sale Of Dolphins To Stephen Ross

NFL owners unanimously approved Wayne Huizenga?s sale of 50 percent of the Dolphins to Stephen Ross on Monday at the league meetings, according to an Associated Press report. Huizenga will remain as managing partner of the club for the near future, setting no timetable for when Ross will take command. Ross is spending about $550M for his share of the team.

Bill Parcells appears willing to trade to Miami's first overall pick in next month's NFL Draft, according to the New York Daily News. "I'm not sure anybody is interested in the pick," Parcells said. "The economics of the pick are a little more devastating if it doesn't work out. You have to have some willing partners of the trade-down thing. We're in position where we are assuming we are going to make the pick."

Dolphins, WR Perry Agree To Terms On One-Year Deal

The Dolphins and wide receiver Tab Perry agreed to terms on a one-year contract, according to a report on the Bengals web site Sunday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Peter Schaffer, the agent for Perry, hinted that the contract was in the range of $927,000 which is the number the Bengals opted not to sign Perry as a restricted free agent.
