Trevor Lawrence Plans To Make Voice Heard About Jaguars' Offseason

Jan 31, 2023 8:47 AM

Trevor Lawrence plans to make his voice heard when it comes to what direction the Jacksonville Jaguars take over the course of the offseason.

"There's conversations obviously, that need to be had," Lawrence said. "I think you look at what we did this season, it's about the people that we have, not just the people on the field, not just the players on the field, but the people, too. ... The people they were, the hard work, all the things that people don't see always, there's a lot of things that go into that. You want to keep guys like that that really have set the standard for the organization and have been a part of what you're building here, and I think moving forward, that's one of the things you have to look at in the guys you want to have."

Jacksonville's most prominent free agents this offseason are tight end Evan Engram and right tackle Jawaan Taylor.

Jaguars 'Would Love' To Bring Back Evan Engram

Jan 25, 2023 8:20 AM

With Evan Engram set for free agency, Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke says he hopes to retain the tight end.

"Obviously, we would love to have Evan back," Baalke said.

"Evan and I visited yesterday, and he went around the building and visited with everybody. I think it's mutual. Now we got to make it happen. That's something that we're going to work on with Evan, and all the other free agents that we have. We have a list of them that we got to mow down one at a time."

Engram signed a one-year, $9 million deal with the Jaguars after five up-and-down seasons with the New York Giants.
