Colts rookie running back Donald Brown is excited about the possibility of sharing carries with Joseph Addai.
"Splitting carries, it's great," said Brown, who started all 13 games at Connecticut last season. "Joseph (Addai) is a great running back and a great guy, so I'm really looking forward to it and helping out in any way I can. I'm just ready to be whatever the Colts need me (to be). Whatever it is, I'll be ready. I'm not here to make any guarantees; just to help them out in any way possible."

Irsay: Peyton Doesn't Like Uncertainty
Colts owner Jim Irsay said on Tuesday that quarterback Peyton Manning doesn't like uncertainty, but there are no issues within the organization.
Indianapolis saw their coaching staff overturn significantly this offseason with a new head coach and a pair of assistants entering retirement.
"Peyton doesn't like uncertainty -- no one does," Irsay said. "But sometimes that's all you can communicate. I've got no problems with people being feisty to win. If someone wants to stir the pot, let them stir the pot."
In late May, Manning stirred controversy by expressing his frustration with the uncertainty surrounding the team's staff.
Gonzalez Joins List Of Indy's Wounded
Colts wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez is just the latest member of the club to miss practice time with an injury.
Gonzalez suffered a right leg injury during Saturday's practice, and could return to the field by Tuesday or Wednesday.
Wayne Ready To Lead Colts' Passing Game
Reggie Wayne is ready to be the leader of the Colts' passing game with the Marvin Harrison era over.
"I've been sitting in the same seat for about 7 1/2 years," Wayne said. "Now I'm sitting up there in the front row. I go from the middle on the end to the front and in the middle."
Wayne is a three-time Pro Bowler.
"If you asked any cornerback," Peyton Manning said, "Reggie had truly established himself as a No. 1 receiver. As a quarterback, boy, what a great luxury to have two No. 1 receivers."
Moore, Mudd Returning To Colts On Aug. 1
Former coaches Tom Moore and Howard Mudd will begin their roles as team consultants for the Colts on Aug. 1, according to the Indianapolis Star.
"They're coming back," owner Jim Irsay said. "They're coming back as consultants and they're going to be involved big time. Jim Caldwell will determine what that will be."
The two retired last month because of concerns with changes to the NFL's pension program.
Addai Had Arthroscopic Surgery On Knee
Colts running back Joseph Addai underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee recently.
The team wouldn't reveal which knee it was, and has been holding Addai out of practices.
A team official told ESPN.com that he was "very confident" Addai will recover in time for training camp.
Peyton: Caldwell Has My Support
Peyton Manning isn't entirely comfortable with all the changes the Colts are undergoing, but he is supportive of new coach Jim Caldwell.
"I don't totally understand it all, but I do know that Jim Caldwell has a plan, as he told me, kind of for the either-or scenario and that plan sounds good to me and I'll be there to support him in whatever direction we go," Manning said.
"No matter how it all plays out, I feel we will be in a good situation, that Coach Caldwell will handle it, make the changes accordingly and then all I can do is focus on my job and try to be the best quarterback I can be."
Vinatieri Undergoes Hip Surgery
Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri underwent surgery on his right hip to alleviate a nagging injury.
However, the team announced on Friday that they expect him to be ready for the season.
"The condition, which had existed for more than a year, became more bothersome recently," the team said in a statement. "After consultation with our doctors and others, the surgical procedure was deemed the most effective course of action at this time."
Sources: Dungy To Join NBC's Team

Dungy will reportedly replace Jerome Bettis in the studio.
Manning Challenges Colts Young Receivers
Peyton Manning has challenged the young receivers on the Colts to step up as the team's third option.
"Every one of those guys, I've told them, 'There's a receiver's spot open right now,' " Manning said last week.
Indianapolis has nine receivers, but no clear third behind Reggie Wayne and Anthony Gonzalez.
The other seven receivers have combined for five catches and zero touchdowns. Five have never played in a regular-season game.
