The Indianapolis Colts agreed to a new three-year contract with center Jeff Saturday on Thursday, according to the Indianapolis Star. Terms were not immediately available, but Ralph Cindrich, Saturday?s agent, confirmed the transaction.

Peyton: I'm 'Indebted' To Harrison

Peyton Manning will greatly miss Marvin Harrison as his teammate with the Colts, and publicly thanked him for helping raise his level of play. "I'm indebted to him," Manning said in a telephone interview with The Indianapolis Star. "I'm sad he won't be here. There's no way I would be at the place I am right now if I hadn't played with Marvin for 11 years. "In my opinion, he's always going to be a Colt." The pair hold league records by a quarterback-receiver duo for touchdowns (112), completions (953) and yards (12,766). "I'm more proud that the time he and I were setting those tandem records, he and I were winning a lot of ballgames," Manning said. "That always was the objective."

The Colts announced that they will release Marvin Harrison on Wednesday. "I've always treasured the time I've had with him because I respected him so much as a person," Bill Polian said. "He worked so hard at his craft, he was always so prepared and he did every little thing he could to win. And he did it with quiet dignity, superb professionalism and with a sense of contribution to the team that really is second to none."

Indianapolis owner Jim Irsay believes that there is still a chance that wide receiver Marvin Harrison will remain with the team. "Marvin and I are talking [Tuesday] at mid-afternoon and we'll see where we go from there," Irsay said, according to the Star. "I'm not going to start talking like he's not here, because nothing's been determined officially by any stretch." Agent Tom Condon told The Associated Press on Monday that the Colts had agreed to release Harrison.

The Colts have agreed to release wide receiver Marvin Harrison, according to agent Tom Condon. Cutting Harrison would save Indianapolis roughly $6 million against their cap number. Harrison, 37, is second on the NFL career receptions list, and is coming off his worst season as a professional. The move is expected to become official on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Citing an unidentified source, the web site detailed that the two sides couldn?t agree on a restructured contract and that he asked to be let go. If the report is true, the move would end one of the most prolific passing combinations in NFL history.

Harrison's Time Over With Colts?

It has become a matter of when, and not if, the Colts will part ways with veteran wide receiver Marvin Harrison. Indianapolis can no longer can afford to carry Harrison, who is scheduled to have a $13.4 million cap number. If the Colts were to release Harrison, his $13.4 million number instantly would come off the books, saving the team $7 million against the cap.

Colts Ink Hayden To $43M Deal

The Colts signed cornerback Kelvin Hayden to a five-year contract worth approximately $43 million on Wednesday. "Needless to say, Kelvin is very happy," Fletcher Smith, Hayden's agent, said. "The (contract) just made a lot of sense for us." The deal includes more than $22 million in guarantees, will pay Hayden about $29 million in the first three years and carries a 2009 salary-cap number of between $6-7 million.
