Peyton: I Hope Stafford Breaks My Rookie INT Record
Peyton Manning, who was thrown into the fire as the quarterback of the Colts back in 1998, discussed Matthew Stafford in an interview with 1070 the Fan in Indianapolis recently.
"I think you throw him in there right away. I think he's lucky, the fact that he's coming in with a new staff ... That's a big advantage because basically he's just like all the other veterans as far as learning this new system, learning the way their new head coach is going to approach things, learning his philosophy ... I'm waiting for somebody break that NFL rookie record for interceptions I set back in '98," Manning said. "Hopefully Stafford will give it a good run. But I'll say this, there's no way that [I] could have played as well as I did in my second year if I hadn't played in my first year and gone through those bumps and bruises."
Reggie Wayne Agrees To Restructure Contract

Tiger Wouldn't Give Peyton Shots On Course
Colts quarterback Peyton Manning recently took the golf course with Tiger Woods, who wouldn't give the Pro Bowler extra shots.
"I'll tell ya, Tiger's not very friendly with (giving) the shots," Manning said Thursday during a radio interview.
Manning plays to an 8-handicap, while Woods plays as a zero.
"He said, 'I'll give you eight shots,' " Manning said. "I said, 'You're out of your mind. I think I at least need 18 shots.' "
Woods wouldn't budge, and Manning refused to risk losing money at such a huge disadvantage.
"I said, 'Well, you and I don't have a bet then,' " Manning said.
Colts To Draft Backup Quarterback?
There are rumors that the Colts could draft a backup for quarterback Peyton Manning later this month.
Indianapolis has stayed away from drafting a quarterback in the early rounds because of Manning's durability, but last summer's knee injury worried them.
Harrison Having A Tough Time Drawing Interest
The market for Marvin Harrison has been incredibly soft during this offseason.
"I'm not surprised," said Charley Casserly, a former general manager with the Houston Texans and Washington Redskins who is an analyst with NFL Network. "When I watch him as a player and look at the package, he's not going to get any better at this point in his career.
"He's been injury-prone the last two years. He's missed time. That has to be a consideration when you're going to sign a guy."
Harrison Isn't Garnering Interest On Market
Marvin Harrison isn't receiving much interest from teams on the free agent market, which has surprised a former NFL general manager.
"I'm not surprised," said Charley Casserly, a former general manager with the Texans and Redskins who is an analyst with NFL Network. "When I watch him as a player and look at the package, he's not going to get any better at this point in his career.
"He's been injury-prone the last two years. He's missed time. That has to be a consideration when you're going to sign a guy."
