Cole Beasley Played In Playoffs With Broken Fibula

Jan 26, 2021 8:47 AM

Cole Beasley told reporters on Monday that he played the final three weeks of the Buffalo Bills' season with a broken fibula.

The Bills listed the wide receiver on the injury report with a knee injury.

"It was bad the first game I played but after that, you take a few meds and suck it up," Beasley said.

It wasn't a full break, but did cause discomfort in Buffalo's wild-card win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Beasley caught 14 passes for 145 yards in the three games he played with the injury.

Sean McDermott On Settling For FGs: 'I Wanted To Get Points'

Jan 25, 2021 8:45 AM

The Buffalo Bills played it safe in Sunday's AFC Championship loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Sean McDermott opted to kick two field goals within the Chiefs' 10-yard line rather than go for it on fourth down. The kicks came just before halftime and in the third quarter. They also came during a 24-6 run by Kansas City.

"I thought about going for it on both occasions. Maybe if I had to do it over again, I would have went for maybe one of them," McDermott said.

"But the one before the half, I wanted to get points. We were having trouble coming up with points, and I wanted to at least have something to show for it going into the half, especially knowing they were getting the ball after half. I'll look back at that and reevaluate that, especially the one after half there, and as an entire team, we'll learn from the experience."

Ravens Won't Back Down From Blitz Against Josh Allen

Jan 14, 2021 8:37 AM

The Baltimore Ravens have no plans to change their blitz-heavy defensive scheme against the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen this weekend.

Allen was among the best quarterbacks at handling pressure this season.

The Ravens have blitzed an NFL-high 41% of the time in 2020. Allen has thrived against the blitz, throwing a league-high 19 touchdown passes against pressure.

"He knows that there is going to be pressure, that's for sure," Ravens defensive coordinator Don "Wink" Martindale said. "That's who we are. That's what we've done."

Lamar Jackson Wary Of Playing In Snow Against Bills

Jan 13, 2021 8:57 AM

Lamar Jackson has never played a game in the snow and isn't looking forward to the possibility of doing so this coming weekend against the Buffalo Bills.

"Saturday would be my first time playing football in the snow, if it does," the Baltimore Ravens quarterback said. "Hopefully, it don't."

There is a 40% chance of snow showers at Bills Stadium on Saturday night.

Jackson, who grew up in South Florida, said he remembers when he first saw snow, during his time at Louisville.

"We had a snowball fight," Jackson said, "so that's totally different from playing in it."
