The Bills have reached an agreement with defensive lineman Kyle Williams on six-year, $39 million deal with $17 million guaranteed.
Williams will become one of the NFL's top-paid defensive lineman, as the extension is similar to the five-year, $40 million deal Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork reached in March 2010, according to a source.

Jackson Assured He's Buffalo's No. 1 Back
The Bills have assured Fred Jackson that he will enter the season as the team's lead running back.
Jackson felt disrespected after being bumped to a No. 2 role behind C.J. Spiller in a 24-10 loss at Denver last week.
"I didn't know what was going on and I like to be told where I stand and not kind of have to guess about it," he said. "We will see how things pan out."
Another concern is Jackson's contract, which he hoped the team will restructure.
Jackson feels he's underpaid in entering the third season of a four-year deal worth about $7.5 million.
Vick: Philadelphia Wasn't First Choice
Michael Vick credits the Eagles with making him a better quarterback. But he was not at first convinced that Philly was the best place for him to resume his football career after nearly two years in federal prison, he told GQ Magazine for its September issue.
In an interview, the Eagles quarterback said the Bengals and Bills initially seemed like better options.
Williams, Bills Negotiating Extension
The Bills are holding talks with defensive lineman Kyle Williams on a contract extension.
Williams is coming off his best professional season.
He has been a starter since his rookie season in 2006, when the Bills drafted him in the fifth round out of LSU.
His current contract, which runs through the end of the 2012 season, has been extended once already, in 2008, when he signed a deal worth $14.4 million.
Bills Release Former Top-Pick Maybin
The Bills released former first-round pick Aaron Maybin on Monday.
The Bills tried unsuccessfully to trade the linebacker before cutting him loose, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Bills Trade Lee Evans To Ravens
The Ravens have acquired wide receiver Lee Evans from the Bills, according to a league source.
Buffalo will receive a fourth-round pick from Baltimore.
"It's not a whole lot I can focus on because I have no control," Evans said of rumors on Thursday.
"My main goal is to do everything in my power to help this team win. That's what my focus is more so than anything."
With two years left on his contract, Evans said he hadn't asked for a trade.
Source: Bills Open To Trading Lee Evans
The Bills are now open to trading wide receiver Lee Evans, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Evans still is considered a vertical threat that will be an asset for the team that lands him. Trade rumors involving Evans have swirled during the offseason.
Lee Evans Unaware Of Possible Trade
Bills wide receiver Lee Evans responded predictably when asked about that possibility that he would be traded.
"I don't really know," Evans said. "Obviously that's something that's out of my control. There's always rumors like that out there so we'll just have to see what happens."
An Arizona radio station reported that the Cardinals have some interest in Evans.
That report came after a National Football Post column on Sunday said some teams have been "sniffing around" about acquiring Evans.
Cardinals Interested In Lee Evans
The Cardinals are interested in Bills wide receiver Lee Evans, who is rumored to be on the market.
The asking price for Evans is unknown at this point.
Could Bills Trade Lee Evans?
The Bills have some depth at the wide receiver position and it is possible that they could trade veteran Lee Evans.
Evans had a down year in 2010 and The National Football Post writes that teams have been sniffing around him his availability.
