Derrick Henry is in the final year of his contract, but a report over the weekend suggested that the Tennessee Titans have no plans to trade the running back prior to Tuesday's deadline.

Henry ran for 101 yards in the Titans' 28-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

"I'm a Titan, and I'm happy to be a Titan," Henry said after the victory. "I am going to do everything I can to help this organization continue to win."

Rookie quarterback Will Levis threw four touchdowns in Sunday’s win and that makes the future look a bit brighter than it did heading into the game.

The Tennessee Titans informed Derrick Henry this week that they don't plan to trade him despite receiving inquiries about the Pro Bowl running back, league sources told ESPN.

This doesn't mean he won't be traded by Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET deadline -- the Titans simply told Henry they don't intend to move him.

League sources believe that as much as he has meant to the Titans, it would make sense for the organization to explore trade possibilities for Henry, who is on an expiring contract and will be a free agent after this season.

The Titans are preparing for the rookie to start with Ryan Tannehill (ankle) unlikely to play, according to sources.

Mike Vrabel noted on Tuesday that both Levis and Malik Willis would play, but a report suggests Levis will be the primary quarterback.

The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired Kevin Byard from the Tennessee Titans for Terrell Edmunds, a fifth round pick and a sixth round pick.

Byard was a first-team All-Pro at safety in 2017 and 2021. Byard is also a native of Philadelphia.

Ryan Tannehill suffered a high right ankle sprain during Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens, putting his availability for the Tennessee Titans in question, according to sources.

The Titans are on a bye in Week 7. They'll use the time for Will Levis and Malik Willis to throw and prepare in the event Tannehill is unable to play against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 29.

Mike Vrabel said the ankle injury is similar to the one Tannehill initially suffered last season.

"Ryan will get treatment around the clock," Vrabel said. "This will be a big week to see how he progresses and then we'll make a decision on his availability next week."

Last season's injury caused Tannehill to miss two games and eventually required surgery after he reinjured the ankle -- landing him on injured reserve.

Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill suffered a right ankle injury and was carted to the locker room late in Tennessee's 24-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

He was on crutches after the game and said he would undergo an MRI when the Titans return home.
