Jurrell Casey To Continue Protesting Despite Anthem Policy

Jul 18, 2018 5:10 PM

Jurrell Casey plans on protesting social injustice and police brutality despite the NFL's new anthem policy.

"I'm going to take a fine this year, why not?" Casey told CNN in London during an event promoting the Titans-Chargers game that will be played Oct. 21 at Wembley Stadium. "I'm going to protest during the flag. That's what I'm going to say now."

The policy puts teams in danger of being fined if a player does not "show respect" for the anthem, which includes an attempt to kneel or sit during the anthem.

Casey raised a fist after the national anthem throughout the 2017 season and he plans on continuing that method of protest.

Casey is a three-time Pro Bowler.

DeMarco Murray: Derrick Henry Can Be 'The Guy' For Titans

Jul 11, 2018 8:28 AM

DeMarco Murray, who shared a backfield with Derrick Henry for two seasons, believes the younger running back can be "the guy" for the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans parted ways with Murray this offseason, signing Dion Lewis in free agency.

"I think Derrick's a smart guy. He's a fast guy, very physical, athletic, and now that I'm not there I think he can hone in on being the guy," Murray said. "And if they use him the right way and if he can consistently be the every down back, I think he has a great future, a bright future."

The Titans typically used Murray as the No. 1 and Henry as the No. 2.
