Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib won't be suspended for his arrest in connection with an offseason shooting in Texas.
Tampa Bay general manager Mark Dominik said before Saturday night's preseason game against the Dolphins that the NFL office informed him by telephone earlier in the day.
Talib is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police in the Dallas suburb of Garland say they believe the 25-year-old player and his mother shot at a man in March.

Report: Talib Expects Four-Game Suspension
Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell earlier this week to discuss his alleged role in an offseason shooting.
Three sources familiar with the situation indicated to Yahoo! Sports that Talib can expect a four-game suspension to open the season.
However, multiple sources told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora that nothing has been communicated to Talib regarding a suspension.
Britt, Talib To Meet With Goodell
Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt will meet Tuesday with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss his arrests during the lockout.
"I guess they finally found me," Britt said with a laugh. "But yeah, I heard from coach (Mike) Munchak, and we'll meet tomorrow and see what happens."
Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib will also meet with Goodell on Tuesday, according to league sources.
Talib was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Texas in March. He already was suspended one game last season for an altercation he had with a taxi driver.
Ochocinco Offers To Reimburse Foster If He's Fined
Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco has offered to reimburse Buccaneers linebacker Mason Foster if he's fined for an incident on Thursday night.
Foster was called for unnecessary roughness in the first quarter of the preseason game for a shot to Ochocinco's head.
Ochocinco doesn't think any fine should come. And he feels so strongly about it that he's offering to pay the fine himself.
In a message on Twitter directed to Foster, Ochocinco wrote, "Great hit last night,if u're fined I'll reimburse u boss. That's the way the game should b played."
Foster replied, "thanks Bruh I appreciate it, good luck to you too."
