Raiders President Marc Badain Resigns After 30 Years

Jul 20, 2021 9:03 AM

Las Vegas Raiders president Marc Badain, who started with the team as a training camp intern in 1991 and served a central role in the team's move from Oakland to Southern Nevada last year, has resigned.

The move was met with shock in the organization, while Badain, 51, simply said it was time for him to "focus on my family and look ahead to new pursuits."

"The successful construction and operation of Allegiant Stadium has been unequivocally the most challenging part of my 30 years with the organization," Badain said. "Seeing it through to the end has been rewarding beyond measure. Together the Raiders and Las Vegas accomplished what seemed impossible.

"I am forever grateful to [Mark Davis] for his unwavering support and friendship. I wish him and the Raider family the best. I will always feel a part of the team because everyone knows...Once A Raider Always A Raider."

Dan Ventrelle, the team's executive vice president and general counsel, will assume the role of team president.

Davante Adams Won't 'Dabble' Into Idea Of Playing With Derek Carr

Jul 2, 2021 8:58 AM

Davante Adams isn't ready to entertain the idea of playing with Derek Carr again.

Carr said recently that he'd put on a "full-court press" to make them teammates with the Las Vegas Raiders again if Adams hits the open market as a free agent in 2021. They were teammates at Fresno State.

Adams hasn't made much progress on an extension with the Green Bay Packers.

"Well, I mean, I'm a Packer, so I can't really get too far ahead on that," Adams said. "When the season ends and if nothing's figured out, then maybe we'll have something to talk about. But those are cautious waters, so I can't really dabble in that now."
