Gerald McCoy suffered a season-ending knee injury in the Las Vegas Raiders' overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night.

Jon Gruden said Tuesday that he feared McCoy had suffered a "long-term" injury.

McCoy, 33, suffered a ruptured right quadriceps in training camp with the Dallas Cowboys in 2020 before signing a one-year, $1.25 million free-agent deal with Las Vegas this offseason.

Darren Waller had 10 receptions, 105 yards and a touchdown on a career-high 19 targets for the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night.

After the Raiders' 33-27 overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens, Jon Gruden had high praise for his tight end.

"We threw it 60 times. If you throw 60 times, you'd probably target him 29," Gruden said. "He's the best player I've ever coached, so I'm going to continue to look for him."

The Las Vegas Raiders have listed Josh Jacobs as questionable for Monday night's opener against the Baltimore Ravens due to an illness.

Jacobs was a limited participant in practice all week due to what was called a toe injury and an illness.

Kenyan Drake would get the start if Jacobs were to be sidelined.

The Las Vegas Raiders are now fully vaccinated, according to a report.

Whichever players had remained holdouts throughout the preseason have made the decision to get their COVID-19 vaccinations before the start of the regular season.

The Raiders had already required fans set to attend games this season to be fully vaccinated so they could watch the games without masks.

Yannick Ngakoue has restructured his contract with the Las Vegas Raiders before even playing a game with the team.

Ngakoue signed a two-year deal with the Raiders in March.

The Raiders have converted $12 million of the edge rusher's salary for this season into a signing bonus, according to a report. They also added three void years to the end of the pact in order to spread out the remaining cap hit.

The move created $9.6 million in cap space for the team to use during the 2021 season.

Mike Mayock has set a goal of making the playoffs for the Las Vegas Raiders this season.

"Jon [Gruden] and I will both tell you that we feel like we need to be a playoff team this year, and I don't think there's any doubt about that," Mayock said. "You guys are all going to put that in your headlines, and I understand it, but that's what the expectation is. We think we've done the infrastructure work necessary to put us in position, and we've got to take care of business."

The Raiders have gone 7-9 and 8-8 in the last two seasons.

Mark Davis was unmoved by Mayock's viewpoint.

"It's always nice to hear somebody say that," Davis said, "but let's go out and do it. I'd be much more impressed if they did it."
