Mark Davis Wonders If NFL Needs Bubble For 2020 Season

Jun 30, 2020 3:09 PM

Mark Davis wondered on the record whether the NFL may need a bubble environment to complete the 2020 season.

“You can keep players from the fans, but you can’t keep players from the players,” Davis said in the Las Vegas Review-Journal article that focuses primarily on his complaints regarding the decision to cover the first eight rows of seats with tarps. “That could be our Achilles’ heel. Without some form of bubble, we may be asking for trouble.”

The NFL has 65 players per team along with large coaching staffs and trainers, which would make an NFL bubble incredibly large.

Darren Waller Believes Raiders Can Have Top-Five Offense

Jun 17, 2020 9:37 AM

The Las Vegas Raiders have added a lot to their offense this offseason and Darren Waller is expecting big things on the field.

The Raiders ranked 11th in the NFL is terms of yards gained in 2019, but just 24th in points scored.

"If you look at things across the board, starting with the offensive line and the quarterback, with improvement at the receiver positions and the tight ends trying to be consistent, I think our offense has a chance to do a lot of great things and put up a lot of great numbers," Waller said on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

"The big thing for us is finishing in the red zone this year. I know that we're doing everything in our power to improve upon that. I don't feel like having a top-five offense is out of the picture. We have that much talent. We have guys who are buying in. We have a balanced system. I have high expectations, and I think everyone on the offense would say the same thing."

Waller had 90 catches for 1,145 yards and three touchdowns last year.

Raiders' Henry Ruggs III Injured Thigh During Move

Jun 2, 2020 8:57 AM

Las Vegas Raiders rookie receiver Henry Ruggs III suffered a cut to his thigh recently while moving things into a trailer, according to his father.

Ruggs was the Raiders' top draft pick.

A source said the team was "told [Ruggs] will be fine."

"He was trying to move a trailer or something -- move furniture or something -- and the trailer just kind of pinned him against a car or a wall or something," Henry Ruggs Jr. said. "He's pretty much OK, I'm about to go out there and see him in a little bit. It was just like a little open wound on his leg, a little incision. Like something had stuck him right there on his thigh a little bit."
