Arian Foster is meeting with the Miami Dolphins as they continue to search for a running back.

Lamar Miller signed with the Houston Texans this offseason, the former team of Foster.

Foster tore his Achilles heel in October.

Chris Johnson is visiting the Miami Dolphins after the Denver Broncos matched their offer for C.J. Anderson.

Johnson played well out of the gate for Arizona last season, pounding his way for 814 yards at 4.2 yards per carry before landing on injured reserve in December with a fractured tibia. 

Johnson is entering his age-31 season.

The Denver Broncos underestimated Anderson's value by assigning the low tender of $1.671 million. The Broncos can match an offer but rival teams won't have to worry about giving up a draft pick in a deal for Anderson.

A $2.553 million tender from the Broncos would have come with a second round tag.

Anderson was outplayed by Ronnie Hillman while battling injuries early last season but re-emerged in the second half.

Mario Williams and the Miami Dolphins have agreed upon a two-year deal.

Williams is expected to sign a deal worth approximately $8 million per season.

Williams was released this offseason by the Buffalo Bills.

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded Kiko Alonso and Byron Maxwell to the Miami Dolphins for pick compensation.

Alonso and Maxwell were two prominent additions to the Eagles' defense made last offseason by Chip Kelly.

Maxwell agreed to a six-year, $63 million contract, but was inconsistent in coverage and recorded just two interceptions and 64 tackles.

The Dolphins were ranked 25th in total defense last season and struggled against both the run and pass.

The Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys and Washington are expected to pursue a trade for Nick Foles if the Los Angeles Rams make him available.

The Rams acquired Foles from the Philadelphia Eagles last offseason.

Foles lost his job as starting quarterback last season.

The Miami Dolphins will place the transition tag on Olivier Vernon.

The tag for Vernon, a defensive end, is worth $12.734 million.
