Adam Gase Warns Dolphins: Shape Up, Or You'll Be On Bench

Sep 28, 2016 9:12 AM

Adam Gase is willing to send players to the bench if they don't perform for the Miami Dolphins.

"I'm over discussing any of this stuff with players," Gase said. "We're either going to start getting the job done, or we're going to make changes."

Gase pulled Ja'Waun James from the field on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns after he allowed a strip-sack on the final play of regulation. The play could have cost the Dolphins the game if Cleveland made the ensuing field goal.

"In the NFL, if you don't do your job, they're going to find a replacement," Byron Maxwell said. "It's a lot of guys that want to do your job and want to do the right thing."

Dolphins Traveling To Seattle On Thursday For Sunday's Game

Sep 8, 2016 5:31 AM

The Miami Dolphins will travel to Seattle for Sunday's game against the Seahawks on Thursday.

The flight from Miami to Seattle is the longest trip on the NFL schedule.

"Just kind of some of the research that we did with guys from other sports, as far as guys going from East Coast to West Coast," Adam Gase said. "With this being the first game of the year we were actually able to do it and we felt like if we could get out there a day earlier than we normally do, we felt like we had a chance to get our guys out and practice, but we could use that Thursday as a travel day. We were able to do a short meeting on Thursday, jump on the plane, get there. We’re going to do one thing so we can get guys kind of moving around a little bit, then practice Friday and Saturday do our walk thru. We just wanted to try to give our guys the best chance they could to feel as good as they could heading into Sunday."

Miami hasn't traveled to Seattle since 2004.

Arian Foster To Start At Running Back For Dolphins

Sep 5, 2016 8:13 PM

The Miami Dolphins will start Arian Foster at running back in Week 1 over Jay Ajayi.

"That is the correct spot for him to be in," Adam Gase added, via Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post.

Foster amassed 30 yards on seven touches in the "dress rehearsal," showing flashes of the form he possessed in 2014 before losing most of last season to an Achilles injury.
