Reshad Jones Ends Holdout, Reports To Dolphins' Minicamp

Jun 15, 2016 8:33 PM

Reshad Jones has ended his holdout from the Miami Dolphins' minicamp.

Jones planned to sit out minicamp in an effort to coax a contract extension that included more guaranteed money. The 28-year-old veteran is set to make just over $7 million each of the next two seasons, but feels that he's worth more.

"I personally believe I'm the best safety in the league," Jones said last season. "I know there are some great safeties in this league. I have a lot of respect for those guys. But my body of work speaks for itself. I've got versatility on my side. I can play both safety positions. I can make plays. I've got the numbers to back that up."

Rashad Jones To Skip Dolphins' Minicamp Seeking Improved Deal

Jun 13, 2016 12:05 PM

Rashad Jones plans to sit out next week's mandatory minicamp as he seeks a long-term deal with the Miami Dolphins.

Jones skipped all of Miami's organized team activities and will face fines from here on out.

Jones is scheduled to make more than $14 million over the next two seasons but he's seeking a deal to make more than $10 million annually.

Dolphins Aren't Currently Pursuing Arian Foster

Jun 8, 2016 12:15 PM

The Miami Dolphins had Arian Foster in for a workout in March, but they aren't currently pursuing the running back.

The team will only seriously consider signing Foster if their young running backs get hurt or don’t play well in training camp, according to a report.

Foster suffered a torn Achilles on October 25 and he is still believed to be a few weeks away from being fully ready.

Jay Ajayi: 'I Know How Great I Can Be'

Jun 6, 2016 4:10 PM

There have been questions about whether Jay Ajayi can handle a heavy workload, but the Miami Dolphins running back doesn't lack self confidence.

"Everyone else has opinions on what I can do and if I'm worthy enough, and I know how good I am," Ajayi said. "I know how great I can be. That's my mentality coming in, day in and day out -- to work, so that when I step out on that field, I can produce the way I know that I can and be the great back that I know I can be."

Ajayi is expected to enter the season as Miami's starter after rushing just 187 yards on 49 attempts over nine games as a rookie.

"I feel like the game has definitely slowed down a lot more for me," Ajayi said. "It's now working on the details, working on consistency. That's really what I'm harping on -- being a lot more consistent with my game."
