The Minnesota Vikings are looking to acquire quarterback Sage Rosenfels from the Houston Texans, according to the Star Tribune. The team would love to make him the the backup behind Tarvaris Jackson. They list adding Rosenfels to their roster as priorities even with that of signing wide receiver Bernard Berrian and safety Madieu Williams.

The Texans added safety Nick Ferguson to their roster on Thursday afternoon, according to the Houston Chronicle. Ferguson played in only twelve games for the Broncos last season, landing on the injured reserve in December with knee issues. Houston plans to meet with cornerback Andre Dyson on Friday. Dyson had 12 tackles and one interception for the Jets in 2007.

The Houston Texans on Monday signed quarterback Quinn Gray, as reported by Yahoo Sports. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Quinn Gray says that he hasn't signed a deal with the Houston Texans just yet, according to the Houston Chronicle. Gray has visited Green Bay and Oakland and plans to forego a pending work out with the Bills in order to finally sign a deal with the Texans. "I don't plan on leaving here," Gray said Sunday. "I'm ready to sign. We've been talking on the phone, and now I'm going to meet face to face with Coach (Gary) Kubiak and Coach (offensive coordinator) Kyle Shanahan."

Free-agent quarterback Quinn Gray and the Texans will meet on Sunday afternoon, according to the Houston Chronicle. The team is looking to carry a third quarterback this season, aside from starter Matt Schaub and backup Sage Rosenfels. Gray threw four TD's for the Jaguars against the Texans in Week Seventeen of last season.

Texans receiver Jacoby Jones was arrested early on Sunday morning on suspicion of drunk driving, according to the Houston Chronicle. Jones, 23, was stopped near downtown Houston and has been freed on bail. "It was basically a DWI investigation," said Houston Police Department Sgt. John Chomiak. "There was no accident involved."

The Texans agreed to terms with former Browns' linebacker Chaun Thompson on a two-year deal worth roughly $2.4 million on Friday, according to the Houston Chronicle. "I?m very excited because this is a great opportunity for me," said Thompson. "I?m ready to do whatever the Texans want me to do ? play linebacker, be an edge rusher, play special teams, whatever."

The Texans signed free agent running back Chris Brown on Thursday, as reported by the Associated Press. Brown appeared in 12 games last season for the Titans and finished with 462 yards rushing and five touchdowns. He was taken by the Titans in the third round of the 2003 draft and ran for 2,757 yards and 16 TD's in five seasons with Tennessee.

The Texans have signed cornerback Jacques Reeves away from the Dallas Cowboys, according to the Houston Chronicle. Reeves agreed to a five-year contract worth $20 million on Saturday and will enter training camp in competition for a starting position in Houston's secondary. "I'm very excited," said Texans' General Manager Rick Smith. "We feel Reeves is a good, young player who is on the rise. And we think he will really add to a defense that is full of good, young players."
