Jul 26, 2017 12:49 PM

The Cleveland Browns will begin camp with Cody Kessler taking first team snaps.

"Cody Kessler will walk out there first," Jackson said, per The Plain Dealer. "He deserves a chance to walk out there first."

The Browns will also take a long look at rookie DeShone Kizer out of Notre Dame and veteran Brock Osweiler.

Coach Predicts Pro Bowl Season For Terrelle Pryor

Jul 25, 2017 8:41 AM

Coming off a breakout season at a new position, Terrelle Pryor still has some doubters.

Pryor caught 77 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns with the Cleveland Browns, but wasn't highly coveted as a free agent and landed with the Washington Redskins.

He will start alongside Jamison Crowder.

"I will be shocked if he isn't in the Pro Bowl," Browns receivers coach Al Saunders said. "He's going to have that kind of year."

There will be a large role for Pryor with DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon both gone.

Browns May Use Duke Johnson As Top Slot Receiver

Jul 24, 2017 8:40 AM

The Cleveland Browns may use Duke Johnson as their primary slot receiver this season.

Johnson, a running back by definition, had more receiving yards than rushing yards in each of his first two NFL seasons.

Andrew Hawkins was Cleveland's No. 1 slot option last season, but he signed with the New England Patriots this offseason. Johnson caught 53 passes for 514 yards and ran 73 times for 358 yards last year.

DeAngelo Williams Not Interested In Cowboys, Browns, Panthers, Jaguars

Jul 12, 2017 6:02 PM

DeAngelo Williams revealed he'd prefer not to play for the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers or Jacksonville Jaguars.

Williams has been one of the NFL's most productive backup running backs over the past two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

While his reasons for not wanting to play for the Browns and Jaguars were business-related, they were purely personal regarding the Panthers and Cowboys.

Williams grew up as a fan of the San Francisco 49ers.

"My fandom for the team I was raised as will not allow me to go to the Cowboys," Williams told Schefter. "I'm an '80s baby ... and the 49ers ruled the '80s. The Cowboys somewhat did something in the '90s; I even refuse to give them that. ...

"The Cowboys, they win. They just don't ever show up during the playoffs. They always disappear in the playoffs. I've got a great depiction of the Cowboys' fan base. During the regular season last year, they were on cloud nine. You couldn't tell them anything because they were going to win the 'ship -- that's all they said. Fans just got extremely super annoying. Then, the minute they lose, they either got cheated, somebody was hurt -- the excuses start flowing. It's just amazing to me. That fan base just in general can't handle defeat. Still, to this day, they say that the Dez Bryant catch against the Green Bay Packers was a catch!"
