Carson Palmer connected with Larry Fitzgerald on Monday night for his 100th touchdown pass as a member of the Arizona Cardinals.

Andy Dalton Losing Support Of Bengals' Players

Sep 18, 2017 1:51 PM

The Cincinnati Bengals could make a change at quarterback in the near future if Andy Dalton continues to struggle.

A.J. McCarron would logically take over the job, but there's a feeling among some players that the Bengals should consider signing Colin Kaepernick.

There has been no indication that the Bengals are ready to consider Kaepernick.

Bengals Fire Offensive Coordinator Ken Zampese

Sep 15, 2017 5:44 PM

The Cincinnati Bengals have fired offensive coordinator Ken Zampese after their 0-2 start. The Bengals have never previously fired a coordinator during the season throughout franchise history.

The Bengals said quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor will immediately assume coordinator duties in place of Zampese.

"Ken Zampese has done a tremendous job for us for my 15 years here, and I have the utmost respect for Ken as a person and as a coach," coach Marvin Lewis said in a statement. "But I feel it best for the football team to breathe new life into the offense, and that's why I am making the change.

"Bill Lazor has great experience in the league and as a coordinator, and I feel Bill can progress our offense the way we need. We have a lot of talent on offense, and we need to keep working to take full advantage of the personnel we have."

Marvin Lewis: Andy Dalton's Job Is Secure

Sep 16, 2017 7:14 PM

The Cincinnati Bengals have been terrible to start the season, but Andy Dalton's job is not in jeopardy.

The Bengals have opened the season with two losses at home and have yet to score a touchdown.

"No, I'm not worried about Andy," Marvin Lewis said.

"No, I don't think he's taken a step back," he added. "I think we have to continue to let Andy do his thing. We've got to do things better around him all the time. Again, we're not good enough today. We didn't play good enough to win on offense and we gave up a play on defense that we can't give up. They didn't give a [49-yarder] today for a score and that's the difference in the game. Same thing as last week. You want to be dominant? Be dominant as the other side."

Bengals Need To Score TD Next Week To Avoid Historically Bad Start

Sep 15, 2017 8:19 AM

The Cincinnati Bengals haven't scored a touchdown through the first two weeks of the season, which many teams have done in NFL history. Just last season, the Los Angeles Rams failed to reach the end zone in their first two games.

However, if the Bengals don't score a touchdown in Week 3 they'll join much rarer company.

The last team to fail to reach the end zone in the first three games of the season was the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, an expansion franchise.

The Bengals are already the first team since the 1939 Philadelphia Eagles to open the season with two games at home and not score a touchdown in either of them.

Andy Dalton's Week 1 Performance Was Second-Worst Of Career

Sep 11, 2017 8:34 AM

Andy Dalton turned in a horrible performance in the Cincinnati Bengals' season-opening loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Dalton went 16-for-31 for 170 yards and four interceptions. He threw zero touchdowns and was sacked five times. He finished the 20-0 defeat with a 51.6 completion percentage and 28.4 QB Rating, the second-lowest of his seven-year NFL career.

The only performance of Dalton's career that rated lower came on Nov. 6, 2014 when the Bengals fell 24-3 at the hands of the Cleveland Browns. In that game, he went 10-for-33 for 86 yards and three interceptions. He failed to toss a touchdown as well, while taking two sacks. He finished that game with a 2.0 QB Rating.

Dalton, 29, will look to rebound this Thursday night against the Houston Texans.
