Anthony Hargrove was surprised to see himself inactive for Sunday's game versus Seattle, but it became clear why he was on Monday.
"It's a big-time shock," Hargrove said Monday, after getting traded to the Bills for a fifth-round draft pick.
Hargrove's day began Monday morning with a text message from Rams defensive line coach Brian Baker: "Coach Linehan wants to see you."

Vincent Could Join Niners
The 49ers would like to bolster their ailing secondary by acquiring former Pro Bowl defensive back Troy Vincent, who was recently released by the Bills. Vincent was placed on injured reserve after pulling his hamstring in the season-opening loss to New England.
Vincent, 35, requested his release after he regained his health.
"He's still a good football player," vice president of player personnel Scot McCloughan said. "He could help us."
Vincent Expects Buffalo To Release Him
Veteran defensive back Troy Vincent told The Associated Press on Thursday he made the request Wednesday and is waiting for the Bills to complete the paperwork.
Vincent is prepared to seek offers from another team once his release is complete.
"I'm ready to go," the 35-year-old Vincent said. "To be fair, it was the right time for me. ... Now's the time for me to look at where I'm at. And I still want to play some football."
Bears Go 5-0 For The First Time In 20 Years
Calling the Chicago Bears an offensive juggernaut might seem to defy logic, tradition and the lineage of gritty defenders from Butkus to Singletary to Urlacher.
Believe it.
Getting a huge boost from their trademark defense, the Bears scored the first five times they had the ball Sunday and ruined the homecoming of former coach Dick Jauron with a 40-7 drubbing of Jauron's Buffalo Bills to go 5-0 for the first time in 20 years.
