Jadeveon Clowney would like to play for the Atlanta Falcons, but he doesn't want to fall to their pick at No. 6.

“I wish [the Falcons] could trade up for me,” Clowney told Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com. Clowney prefers a trade up, because he doesn’t want to be passed over five times. “I hope I don’t fall to No. 6. I like Atlanta — a lot,” Clowney said.

“They’re pretty good. They’ve got some guys from South Carolina on the team, also. And it’s close to home.”

The Falcons have admitted that they're considering moving up from No. 6 and a deal with the St. Louis Rams at No. 2 would make the most sense.

The Atlanta Falcons have hired Billy Devaney and Russ Bolinger as player personnel scouts.

Devaney brings more than 30 years of NFL personnel experience to the Falcons, including four years as the general manager of the St. Louis Rams for 2008 to 2011. 

Devaney spent the 2013 season as an analyst for ESPN’s NFL Insiders show.

Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe will no longer be part of The NFL Today on CBS, with Tony Gonzalez joining the show.

Gonzalez will join James Brown, Bill Cowher and Boomer Esiason on the program.

Gonzalez was long expected to become a broadcaster following his retirement from the NFL.

Tony Gonzalez believes Matt Ryan is currently just below the elite quarterbacks, but is capable of elevating his game.

“Matt’s an excellent quarterback. But he’s not elite. He’s this close. He’ll get there, but he has some learning to do,” Gonzalez said.

The Atlanta Falcons nearly reached the Super Bowl in 2012.

The Las Vegas Hilton has posted its early odds for Super Bowl XLIX, which will take place in Arizona in 2015.
