Jake Matthews has signed his rookie deal with the Atlanta Falcons.

Matthews is expected to be the Falcons' starting right tackle with Sam Baker continuing on the left side.

Matthews was widely considered the most immediately ready offensive tackle in the draft.

Julio Jones won't be "doing a whole lot" during the Atlanta Falcons' offseason conditioning program.

"Our focus is strictly on getting them ready to go for training camp (in late July)," said Mike Smith, who told reporters in April that his star wideout was ahead of schedule.

Jones suffered a season-ending foot injury in Week 5.

The Atlanta Falcons attempted to move up to select Dee Ford.

The Kansas City Chiefs selected the defensive end out of Auburn with the 23rd overall pick.
