Feb 22, 2024 9:51 AM

After an up-and-down rookie campaign, Bijan Robinson has a lofty goal for his second NFL season.

"I want 2,000 yards rushing," Robinson told Sports Illustrated. "I know those are big expectations, what we can do as an offense, with all the weapons, our O-line, with Zac being at the helm, it can be something special.

"I think it's going to be one of those special seasons that Atlanta's been waiting for us and all of us as players have been waiting for. So, let's get it."

Robinson, the eighth overall pick in 2023, finished with 976 yards rushing and 487 yards receiving to go with eight total touchdowns.

Quarterback 'A Top Priority' For Falcons This Offseason

Feb 20, 2024 9:08 AM

Atlanta Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot says that the quarterback position is a priority for the team this offseason.

"That's a top priority for us this offseason, and it's exciting," Fontenot told the NFL Network.

"Again, not only people that have been in the building, but people outside of the building from Raheem (Morris) and (offensive coordinator) Zac (Robinson), (QBs coach) T.J. Yates, (assistant coach) Ken Zampese, (assistant QBs coach) DJ Williams -- we have a lot of really smart people in the building. We're going to spend a lot of time together, make sure we attack that the right way. We're not going to close any doors, be it trades, free agency, the draft. We will make sure we keep an open mind there and we're going to attack it and make sure we get it right."

The Falcons used Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke during a disappointing 2023 season.

Re-Signing Calvin Ridley Would Cost Jaguars A Higher Pick

Feb 19, 2024 9:17 AM

It will cost the Jacksonville Jaguars more than just money and cap space if they re-sign Calvin Ridley this offseason.

Per the terms of the trade that sent Ridley from the Atlanta Falcons to the Jaguars, if Ridley re-signs with the Jaguars, the Falcons get the Jaguars' 2024 second-round draft pick.

If Ridley does not re-sign with the Jaguars, the Falcons get the Jaguars' 2024 third-round draft pick.

When the trade was first announced, it was called a conditional fourth-round pick in 2024 that the Jaguars would send the Falcons. That has already been moved up to a third-round pick because of Ridley's 2023 production.

Falcons OC: All Quarterback Options 'On The Table'

Feb 15, 2024 8:25 AM

New Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson is making it clear that the team is starting the process to figure out what the plan is at quarterback.

The Falcons have two quarterbacks on the roster for next season and a new coaching staff.

"Whether it's a pocket guy, whether it's a guy that can move around a little bit, we're just looking for the best guy that we can do," Robinson said. "Certainly know the guys that are here, we're evaluating everybody, so Taylor [Heinicke] and Desmond [Ridder], we're looking at those guys.

"All options are on the table."

The Falcons are deciding whether to stick with Heinicke and Ridder or to find a new quarterback via the draft, in free agency or through a trade.

Arthur Blank: Bill Belichick Never Asked For Player Control

Feb 9, 2024 5:26 PM

The Atlanta Falcons hired Raheem Morris to be their head coach last month, but franchise owner Arthur Blank wanted to make a few things clear Friday about the team's search and one candidate in particular: Bill Belichick.

Blank, speaking for the first time since hiring Morris, said Belichick was never offered the Falcons job and that Belichick never asked for full control of player personnel or the goings-on in the team's Flowery Branch, Georgia, headquarters.
