The Falcons signed third-round pick Mike Johnson to an undisclosed deal.
Johnson, a guard, started 41 straight games for Alabama and set a school-rebound by appearing in 54 games.

Falcons Hire Former Browns Scout
Steve Sabo, 36, who spent the previous 11 seasons with the Cleveland Browns, was hired by the Falcons as an area scout on Tuesday.
Sabo served as the Browns? senior director of pro personnel in 2009, was responsible for scouting NFL teams and assisted with advance scouting of upcoming opponents.
?We are excited about the addition of Steve to our scouting department,? Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said in a statement released by the team. ?Steve has 15 years of scouting experience and possess an adept scouting perspective that we feel will mesh well with our scouting philosophy and scouting department.?
Atlanta's Ojinnaka Suspended For Opener
Falcons offensive lineman Quinn Ojinnaka has been suspended without pay for the season opener after being arrested last year.
Atlanta will play Pittsburgh on Sept. 12.
Ojinnaka was arrested in May 2009 on a simple battery charge after his wife confronted him over his contact with a female friend on Facebook.
