The Arizona Cardinals are set to hire Mike McCoy as their offensive coordinator under new head man Steve Wilks.

McCoy led the offense of the Denver Broncos this past season until he was fired in November. He was the head coach of the then-San Diego Chargers from 2013 to 2016.

The Arizona Cardinals have agreed to hire Steve Wilks as head coach.

Wilks most recently was defensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers. Wilks ran a 4-3 defense in Carolina that was blitz-happy. 

The Panthers also lost their defensive coordinator last season with Sean McDermott joining the Buffalo Bulls as head coach. Wilks was promoted from secondary coach/assistant head coach to coordinator.

Mike Munchak has declined an offer for a second interview for the Arizona Cardinals' head coaching job.

Munchak has been offensive line coach of the Steelers since 2014 after a three-year stint as head coach of the Titans.

New England's Brian Flores and Philadelphia's John DeFilippo are also candidates for the job.

Munchak had a 22-26 record as head coach of the Titans.

Carson Palmer has announced his retirement from the NFL.

Palmer was the top overall pick in 2003 out of USC.

Palmer joined the Cardinals in 2013 and they advanced to the NFC Championship Game in the 2015 season.

The Cardinals also lost Bruce Arians to retirement this offseason.

Palmer will retire having earned $172.5 million during his career, according to Ian Rapoport.

The NFL has five teams ranking in the top-10 in DVOA on both Offense and Defense at the end of the regular season in the Vikings, Rams, Saints, Steelers and Eagles.

The Chiefs, Cowboys, Chargers, Falcons and Patriots also rank in the top-10 on offense, while the Jaguars, Broncos, Panthers, Ravens and Cardinals rank in the top-10 on defense.

Bruce Arians has announced his retirement as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.

Arians led the Cardinals to a 49-30-1 record during his tenure.

The Cardinals have submitted a request to the Vikings to interview Pat Shurmur for their vacancy.
