Warner Would Welcome Long-Term Deal

Oct 12, 2014 7:49 PM

Kurt Warner could become a long-term fixture as the Cardinals? backup quarterback. Warner indicated Tuesday that he probably would like to sign a two-year contract extension. Such a move would keep him in Arizona for four more seasons, counting the one that starts next month. ?It?s a definite possibility,? Warner said. While he still holds out hope he could be a starter again, he indicated his family likes Arizona and that he is comfortable with his teammates and the general situation. ?If they (Cardinals officials) felt comfortable with me and wanted to have me, right now I?m feeling so good I would consider an extension on my contract or another contract.?

Arizona Could Lose Two Starters For The Season

Nov 16, 2014 10:25 PM

The Cardinals lost more than just a preseason game Saturday night. Two starters suffered injuries that could end their seasons. Outside linebacker Chike Okeafor suffered a torn left biceps muscle, and offensive right tackle Oliver Ross suffered a torn left triceps, according to a club official. Both players underwent MRI exams Sunday, which confirmed the tears. Both players are expected to seek second opinions; if surgery is necessary, they likely would miss the rest of the season.
