Darren McFadden Claims Former Financial Planner Mishandled $15M

Jun 9, 2016 2:51 PM

Darren McFadden has sued his longtime business manager, saying he misappropriated and mishandled money throughout his career, including $3 million lost in a bitcoin business venture.

The $15 million lawsuit was filed against Michael Vick of Mabelvale, Arkansas, and 10 unknown others named only as "Doe."

Vick is not the former NFL quarterback.

McFadden's lawsuit said that two days after his 2008 debut with the Oakland Raiders, Vick used fraudulent documents to gain power of attorney and later fabricated fictitious financial records to hide what he was doing.

Aqib Talib May Have Violated Texas Gun Laws

Jun 8, 2016 1:05 PM

The NFL is looking into whether Aqib Talib violated Texas gun laws when he accidentally shot himself early Sunday.

Police are investigating the incident. Under a state law that took effect Jan. 1, a person must have a license to carry a gun.

Carrying a weapon in public without a license into a place that sells alcohol is considered a Class 3 felony. It is a Class A misdemeanor to possess a weapon while intoxicated in Texas (there is no official indication he was intoxicated on the night of the incident), and punishment carries a year in jail. It is a Class B misdemeanor to discharge a weapon in public, and punishment carries up to six months in jail.

If Talib had a license, he could be charged with two of these crimes; if he didn't, it's possible he could be charged with all three.
