Mike Pouncey was served a subpoena as he exited the Miami Dolphins' locker room following their 27-17 loss to the New England Patriots.

The subpoena is related to an investigation into Aaron Hernandez, who is a close friend and college roommate of Pouncey.

Sports Illustrated claims sources indicated that Pouncey's subpoena has to do with an investigation centering on Hernandez's potential involvement in interstate gun trafficking, not the pending murder trial.

The NFL Player's Association believes Greg Schiano is responsible for leaking personal information about Josh Freeman to the media.

“The union says it has no confidence in the NFL's separate investigation, in part because the union is unaware of any previous league investigation into a confidentiality breach that has yielded discipline,” writes USA Today.

This portion of the story begins when ESPN reported that Freeman was in the first stage of the league's drug policy. 

Schiano has denied being responsible for releasing Freeman's private information.

"I know what I've done," said Schiano. "I'm 100 percent comfortable with my behavior."

Aldon Smith faces felony weapon charges from an incident in 2012 in which he was stabbed.

Smith is currently on “indefinite leave” from the San Francisco 49ers after San Jose Police arrested him at 7 a.m. on Sept. 20 on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana.

Smith is facing a civil suit from the party that resulted in two guests shot at his 8,000 square foot home in the foothills east of San Jose.
