49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has filed for the trademark, "Kaepernicking," his bicep-kissing act that swept the West Coast after his team's postseason run, according to an ESPN.com report on Wednesday.

Kaepernick's marketing team already has authorized a few small T-shirt companies to use his name and image on their products.

Police are investigating a sexual assault allegation involving 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree, authorities said Friday, according to an ESPN.com report.

The alleged assault occurred in a San Francisco hotel room early Sunday, after the 49ers' playoff victory over the Packers, police said in a written statement.
