Tyreek Hill On Verge Of Historic Receiving Mark

Dec 29, 2023 9:35 AM

Tyreek Hill is on the verge of hitting a historical receiving mark.

If Hill finishes with at least 59 receiving yards on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, the Miami Dolphins star will surpass 1,700 yards for the season.

Doing so would make Hill the first player in NFL history to hit that number twice in his career. Only 11 players have ever finished a season with at least 1,700 receiving yards.

Hill's original goal for the season was to post 2,000 yards, something that became less likely when he missed a game earlier this month.

Baker Mayfield Becomes First QB With Perfect Rating At Lambeau Field

Dec 18, 2023 10:27 AM

Baker Mayfield made history in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 34-20 win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

Mayfield became the first opposing quarterback to post a perfect 158.3 passer rating at Lambeau Field as he went 22-for-28 with 381 yards and four touchdowns.

The only other quarterback to post a perfect rating at Lambeau was Aaron Rodgers in 2019.

"He's meant everything," coach Todd Bowles said of Mayfield. "From a mental standpoint to a quarterback standpoint, making plays. From a toughness standpoint. From a leadership standpoint. He's done everything. He's checked all the boxes. He's doing all the right things now and I can't say enough about him."

49ers Have 5th Best Ever DVOA Through 13 Games

Dec 11, 2023 12:08 PM

The San Francisco 49ers are now the fifth best ever DVOA through 13 games, according to Aaron Schatz.

The 49ers trail only the 2007 New England Patriots, 1991 Washington Commanders, 1985 Chicago Bears and 1998 Denver Broncos. All four teams reached the Super Bowl while only the Patriots lost it.

The Baltimore Ravens are 11th all-time despite dropping this week.

Mike Evans Posts 10th Straight 1,000-Yard Season

Dec 4, 2023 9:09 AM

Mike Evans had a huge game on Sunday, posting seven receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers edged the Carolina Panthers 21-18.

His huge yardage total allowed him to surpass 1,000 yards for the 10th consecutive season.

Jerry Rice holds the NFL mark with 11 consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. Evans is already the NFL's all-time leader in most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons to start a career.

Evans, who turned 30 in August and has missed just nine regular-season games in 10 seasons, said he's unsure exactly how long he'll continue playing, although a source close to him said they believe he wants to continue playing for at least three more seasons.
