Sep 25, 2023 8:55 AM

Andy Reid passed Hall of Fame coach Tom Landry for fourth all-time in career wins following the Kansas City Chiefs' 41-10 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Including the postseason, Reid now has 271 career wins, surpassing Landry's total of 270 wins that were tallied during his decorated 29-year run with the Dallas Cowboys.

Reid is in his 11th year with the Chiefs after an 11-year run with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The three coaches ahead of Reid on the all-time list are Don Shula (347), Bill Belichick (330) and George Halas (324).

Rams' Puka Nacua Sets Record With 15-Catch Effort

Sep 18, 2023 8:59 AM

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua caught 15 passes for 147 yards in the team's 30-23 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, breaking the NFL's single-game record for receptions by a rookie and setting an overall league mark with 25 catches in the first two games of his career.

One week after he recorded 10 catches for 119 yards in his NFL debut, Nacua -- with his 10th catch on Sunday -- eclipsed Earl Cooper's record, set in 1980, for most receptions by a player through his first two games.

On the next play, Nacua broke the 100-yard receiving mark to become the first player to record 10 receptions and 100 receiving yards in each of his first two NFL games.

"He's a stud," Sean McVay said. "The game makes sense to him. Physically and mentally tough. Works really hard. He's very inquisitive. He asks a lot of questions, and he's got great guys to be able to lean on.

"His rapport with [quarterback] Matthew [Stafford], where they're able to bounce things off of one another, I think that's been a real positive, and Puka's going to continue to improve."

Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs Eyeing 1,000 Yards Rushing, 500 Yards Receiving

Sep 6, 2023 8:07 AM

Jahmyr Gibbs is looking forward to a productive rookie season with the Detroit Lions.

The 12th overall pick said that he believes he can top 1,000 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards this year.

"Most definitely," Gibbs said, "especially with this system."

Last year, Christian McCaffrey was the only player in the NFL to top 1,000 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards.

No one did it in either 2022 or 2021.
