Peterson's Splits More Favorable In Vikings' Losses

Oct 31, 2014 7:24 PM

Adrian Peterson has had a historical season by any measure.

But Peterson's best games haven't necessarily come in wins for the Minnesota Vikigns.

In Minnesota’s wins, Peterson has 210 carries for 1,136 yards, a 5.41 yards per carry average; in Minnesota’s losses, Peterson has 104 carries and an outstanding 7.4 YPC average.

Among the 23 running backs with at least 50 carries in both wins and losses this year, that’s the most drastic split in the NFL.

Dec 3, 2014 6:29 PM

Calvin Johnson has totaled 588 receiving yards in situations where the Lions either led by at least 10 points or trailed by 10 points in a game.

Johnson has 1,304 yards when the point differential is less than 10 points.

The Lions have a 4-11 record, which some have used to detract from Johnson breaking Jerry Rice's receiving record.

Bradford Might Benefit From Up-Tempo System

Oct 6, 2014 2:50 PM

Sam Bradford has played well in up-tempo situations this season, begging the question of whether the St. Louis Rams should purposely play that way and not just when trailing.

Bradford’s fourth-quarter passer rating (94.4) and 2-minute passer rating (88.8) are better than his overall passer rating (83.3) this season.

Bradford ranks 21st in overall passer rating but is 13th in fourth-quarter rating.

Crosby Drops Below 60 Percent, Packers Still Won't Make Change

Sep 13, 2014 3:24 AM

Mason Crosby is kicking at a success rate of 58.6 percent with his next closest peer being David Akers at 71.4 percent.

Crosby has missed at least one field in goal in each of the past six games, including two from inside 45 yards against the Bears.

"We're not changing our kicker, so you can write that down right now," McCarthy said. "He's our guy. He needs to make those kicks. He knows that. We're at that time of year."
