Buccaneers Optimistic On Re-Signing Doug Martin

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are optimistic about their chances of re-signing Doug Martin.

“I know he wants to be a Buc and we want him to be a Buc,” Licht said, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Martin had an outstanding season in 2015, rushing for 1,402 yards in his walk year.

Doug Martin is "hoping to hit the jackpot" in free agency after a career year.

Martin rushed for 1,402 yards in 2015, trailing on Adrian Peterson. Martin had six rushing touchdowns and 271 receiving yards.

"We've had great discussions, and I think it's pretty mutual he'd like to be here and we'd like to have him," Bucs GM Jason Licht said. "We'll have to see how it goes."
