Tannehill Impresses In First Official Workout
After coming to terms on a contract with the Dolphins on Saturday night, Ryan Tannehill took part in his first official practice the next day.
Tannehill, who was selected with the eight overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, submitted an impressive performance.
"I thought he'd be a little bit rusty today, but I thought he was pretty much on task on just about everything he did," said offensive coordinator Mike Sherman. "He didn't seem to miss a beat."
Tannehill had spent the past few days in Bradenton working out at the IMG Madden Football Academy.

Dolphins, Tannehill Agree To $12.6M Deal
The Dolphins and first-round pick Ryan Tannehill have agreed to a four-year, $12.6 million contract, according to a source.
The source said there is offset language in the contract, which means that if the quarterback is cut after three seasons, Miami allow another team to pay the balance of the remaining guaranteed money.
Tannehill missed two practice days of training camp.
Garrard Likes Chances To Start For Dolphins
David Garrard will compete with Matt Moore and Ryan Tannehill to start for the Dolphins at quarterback.
"I think my chances are pretty good," Garrard said.
"I don't think they would have me here or even say that it was open competition if my chances weren’t good. I know I can still play. I've just got to continue to prove it on the field and that's what's going to be the deciding factor is how we perform on the field."
The decision on who starts in Miami will be determined by the coaching staff's evaluation of the first few weeks of training camp practices and the first few preseason games.
Language Delaying Tannehill's Contract
The Dolphins and quarterback Ryan Tannehill's camp are officially in a stalemate.
Tannehill, Miami's first-round pick, missed the first day of training camp because of a dispute over language in his contract.
"He's obviously not here, so we're not done yet. Progress is being made. It's progressing," general manager Jeff Ireland said. "Communication is ongoing on both sides."

Chad Johnson Blames Patriots For His Poor 2011 Season
Chad Johnson's one-year tenure with the Patriots was a disappointment and the wide receiver blames the team for his lack of production.
Johnson says he wasn't productive because the team didn't allow him to be himself.
"I'm going back to my normal ways," Johnson told the Miami Herald. "My normal ways, when I was at my best, when I got fined, look at the production those years. Usually things don't go right when you try to change the way you do things. I'm back to normal.
"My personality was controlled last year. You didn't hear me at all last year. Zero. Zilch. When my mouth is running, it forces me to perform. It's never been vindictive. I never got anybody in trouble. ... When I can be me, I am loose. Everything just flows for me, whether it's the style of play, the way I learn."
Chad Johnson Predicts 'Monster' Season
Chad Johnson, who recently changed his last name back to Johnson after a few years as Ochocinco, is predicting a very successful first season with the Dolphins.
Johnson is predicting a "monster" season because he's no longer muzzled.
"My personality was controlled last year (in New England)," Johnson told the Miami Herald. "You didn't hear me at all last year. Zero. Zilch. When my mouth is running, it forces me to perform. It's never been vindictive. I never got anybody in trouble.
"One of the things I like about being here, that's so refreshing, and is such a weight off my back, is I can be me, whatever that entails. When I can be me, I am loose. Everything just flows for me. Whether it's the style of play, the way I learn."
Pouncey: Dolphins Learning From Tannehill
The Dolphins haven't decided on a starting quarterback, but center Mike Pouncey believes the team would be fine with Ryan Tannehill.
Pouncey said that Tannehill isn't just ahead of most rookies, he's ahead of the veterans on Miami's offense because he played for Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman at Texas A&M.
Tannehill is actually the one helping the veterans learn Sherman's system.
"He definitely knows it. He ran it in college. You can see it in practice. He's teaching the veteran guys some plays. All those guys are working together, so there's not any animosity in the room. Those guys are going out there and competing," Pouncey said.
"He's a guy that's mature and ready to play, he knows this offense and with his arm strength he can help this team."
Ochocinco Changes Name Back To Johnson
Chad Ochocinco's wife had no interest in taking a numerical last name, so the Dolphins wide receiver is back to being Chad Johnson.
Johnson officially changed his name back due in part to his marriage to Evelyn Lozada.
The pair preferred Lozada's last name to be a real name rather than the gimmick.
