Dolphins quarterback Pat White is entering a very important season.
The Miami Herald writes that there is no guarantee White will be on the team in 2010 because unlike most former high-round draft picks he isn't assured of a roster spot.
"It was not at all what I expected. I'm sure not what the coaches expected," White said of his rookie season. "But I'm thankful they brought me back for another year to try and get better."
White appeared in 13 games for Miami in 2009, attempting just five passes and rushing for 81 yards on 21 attempts.

It took four rounds of voting to decide a winner on Tuesday.

Ronnie Brown Will Be Ready For Camp
Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown says he'll be ready for training camp after his season ended prematurely with a fractured right foot.
"I've been running for a while, it's good to get out here and gain some confidence," Brown said. "With injuries, the biggest part is the mental process. You come back and try not to think about it and limit yourself in that sense."
Miami coach Tony Sparano said he would ease Brown back onto the field.
Taylor To Wear No. 95 For Jets To Honor Dolphin
Jets linebacker Jason Taylor can't wear No. 99 with the team, so he has decided to wear No. 95 in honor of former Dolphins defensive tackle Tim Bowens.
Linebacker Bryan Thomas wears No. 99 for the Jets.
"Timbo was one of my all-time favorites," Taylor said. "He's the most unselfish, underrated teammate I've ever had."
Miami's Marshall Had Hip Surgery
Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall had surgery on his hip and will be sidelined until at least the start of training camp.
"We don't play a game today," Miami coach Tony Sparano said.
"We play a game down the road somewhere. ... No disappointment at all. He's been here for eight weeks now, throwing and catching and doing all the things necessary. I mean, he was throwing and catching the day that the procedure was done. So, not real concerned about it."
The Denver Post reports that Marshall had the procedure to clean out his hip two weeks ago. He had surgery on the same hip last offseason.
