Sam Bradford made a slight adjustment to his contract with the Rams earlier this offseason, according to a source.
Bradford was scheduled to earn $12 million in fully guaranteed base salary with a $15.595 million cap number in 2012, the third season of his six-year rookie deal.
The quarterback will still earn $12 million and his $15.595 million cap number for 2012 is unchanged, but the two sides have changed how the $12 million will be delivered.
As part of a renegotiation from May 9, half of the $12 million in base salary was converted to a roster bonus that was paid on May 11. The remaining $6 million will be paid out in base salary during the 2012 season.

Rams Expect Bradford To Thrive Under Schottenheimer
Rams coach Jeff Fisher believes that Sam Bradford will rebound from a poor second season, especially with Brian Schottenheimer directing the offense.
"You have to kind of delete last year, look back to the way he played his rookie year, under Pat Shurmur, who did a great job with him in this offense," Fisher said.
"We're very excited. Brian Schottenheimer's an outstanding coach and we've got a fabulous quarterbacks coach in Frank Cignetti. They're off to a real good start. It's really fun to watch him work and watch him improve."
Fisher Wants Rams To Break Sack Record
The Rams, who ranked in the middle of the NFL in sacks last season, have a lofty goal for 2012.
New coach Jeff Fisher wants the team to break the record for sacks in a season, set by the 1984 Bears when they notched 72.
Fisher Reiterates Rams Won't Have Defensive Coordinator
Rams coach Jeff Fisher has confirmed that the team will not operate with an defensive coordinator in 2012.
Gregg Williams would have headed the defense, but he has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for his role in the New Orleans bounty scandal.
"It's really no different than it was when this thing went down," Fisher said. "It's going to be a collective, collaborative effort."
Rams Reportedly Want Retractable Roof
The Rams are seeking to install a retractable roof on the Edward Jones Dome as part of their stadium upgrade proposal, St. Louis' KTVI reported.
Because of a Missouri Sunshine Law, details will be available Monday about the Rams' counter-offer to upgrade the Edward Jones Dome.
Attorney General To Release Rams' Dome Proposal
The Missouri attorney general will release details next week on how the Rams want to renovate the Edward Jones Dome despite the team's desire to keep the plan secret.
The St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission and the Rams are in the midst of negotiations aimed at bringing the dome up to top-tier status among the 31 NFL stadiums. Otherwise, the Rams could break their lease and potentially move after the 2014 season.
Rams Decided Early To Stick With Bradford
Incoming Rams general manager Les Snead decided early to stick with Sam Bradford at quarterback, trading the second overall pick to the Redskins, who selected Robert Griffin III.
"No," Snead said when asked if St. Louis considered holding onto the second pick and taking the Baylor quarterback.
"The only time it might've crossed my mind was if, for some reason, we were to get stuck at two because we didn't get what we really wanted. Do you take the kid and trade him from there? That might've been the only time, and that would've been the riskiest of risky moves. But I'll be clear: We decided early on that Sam was our quarterback."
Rams Submit Dome Improvement Plan
The Rams have submitted plans to upgrade the Edward Jones Dome, a key step to making sure the team doesn't leave town.
The team turned in its counterproposal on Tuesday, declining to release details.
It was given to the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission, the operator of the dome that announced its own plan in February.
