49ers*, Rams Play To 24-24 Tie (+3.6 TC*, -13 TRC)

The San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams each missed field goals in overtime as the two teams played to a 24-24 tie, the first in the NFL since 2008.

The 49ers had a +3.6 advantage in The Trench Counter, with both teams having roughly the same yards per play average (5.3-5.7), but the Rams had one lost fumble. The Rams had a +13 edge in Total Rushes/Completions.

Alex Smith went 7-for-8 for 72 yards and a touchdown before being knocked out of the game with a concussion. Colin Kaepernick went 11-for-17 for 117 yards in the air, along with eight carries for 66 yards and a touchdown.

Frank Gore rushed 21 times for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Sam Bradford went 26-for-39 for two touchdowns, connecting with Danny Amendola 11 times for 102 yards.

Steven Jackson rushed 29 times for 101 yards, while Daryl Richardson rushed for 58 yards on seven carries.

The San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams played to a 24-24 tie and Danny Amendola thought there would be a second overtime after neither team scored in the extra session.

Amendola had 102 yards receiving in the game.
