Telvin Smith was arrested on Wednesday and charged with one count of unlawful sexual activity with certain minors.

A law enforcement source told ESPN that Smith is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old girl multiple times, both at his home and in his vehicle, in August and September. The girl told a friend and a family member what happened after the first encounter with Smith.

Smith has more solo tackles (441) than any other player since he entered the NFL, and his 581 total tackles ranks fourth in that span.

"The Jaguars are aware of the report involving former linebacker Telvin Smith," the team said in a statement. "The club is unable to comment further on this ongoing investigation."

Dave Caldwell has rejected the idea that the Oakland Raiders were close to trading for Yannick Ngakoue.

According to Caldwell, the Jacksonville Jaguars didn't receive any offers for the defensive end.

"I think his options are very limited at this point in time," Caldwell said. "We'll welcome him back with open arms when he's ready to come back, and we look forward to it."

The Jaguars placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Ngakoue worth $17.8 million for 2020. He has not signed the tender and has made it clear he wants the Jaguars to trade him.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are in trade talks with the Detroit Lions on moving up to No. 3.

The Jaguars own the No. 9 and No. 20 selections in the first round.

The Lions have also held talks with the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins.

The Las Vegas Raiders are exploring a possible trade for Yannick Ngakoue though no deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars is close at this time.

Ngakoue would have to sign his tender first.

Talks between the teams have not yet moved to the point to discuss compensation.

Yannick Ngakoue expressed his frustration with the Jacksonville Jaguars on social media on Monday.

Ngakoue called the team owner's son a clown and urged the team to get "this s--- done."

The exchange between Ngakoue and Tony Khan, the son of owner Shad Khan and the team's senior vice president of football administration and technology, began with Ngakoue's tweet that said only: #FREEYANN. Moments later, Ngakoue told Tony Khan to stop hiding.

Ngakoue's battle with the Jaguars began last July when then-executive VP of football operations Tom Coughlin abruptly broke off negotiations with Ngakoue and his agent, Ari Nissim.

Ngakoue was reportedly offered a contract that would pay him $19 million annually.

The Jaguars applied the non-exclusive franchise tag to Ngakoue on March 13, and he would earn $17.8 million in 2020.

The Jaguars are seeking at least one first round pick for Ngakoue. 

The Jacksonville Jaguars are releasing Marqise Lee.

Lee was limited to just six games last season.

Lee is believed to be fully healthy.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not expected to pursue a trade for Leonard Fournette.

Fournette gained 1,674 yards from scrimmage last season. Fournette is scheduled to make $4.16 million in base salary this season.

The Buccaneers feel there is plenty of depth at running back in this year's draft.

Tampa Bay currently does not have much depth at running back beyond Ronald Jones, a second-round draft pick in 2018, and Dare Ogunbowale, a pass-catching change-of-pace back.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have engaged teams on a potential trade of Leonard Fournette.

The Jaguars have until May 4th to exercise their fifth-year option on Fournette. Fournette is scheduled to make a base salary of $4.16 million in 2020.

Fournette ran for a career-high 1,152 yards and caught a team-high 76 passes last season while scoring only three touchdowns.

Earlier this week, Fournette said on social media that he wanted the Jaguars to sign free-agent quarterback Cam Newton.

Leonard Fournette is lobbying for the Jacksonville Jaguars to sign Cam Newton.

Newton was cut by the Carolina Panthers on March 24th and remains a free agent.

"Cam went to the Super Bowl," Fournette. "He's a great guy. I've been knowing Cam for a minute now. And like I told some people that talked to me, it's no disrespect to [Gardner Minshew]. I'm just trying to get in the best position as a team as we can [to] win.

"That's all that was about. Just friendly competition 'cause that brings out the best in people."

The Jacksonville Jaguars are beginning trade discussions involving Yannick Ngakoue, who would like a trade this offseason.

The Jaguars are looking for at least a first round pick in exchange for Ngakoue.
