Kerryon Johnson Becomes Lions' First 100-Yard Rusher Since 2013

Sep 24, 2018 8:18 AM

Kerryon Johnson rushed for 101 yards in the Detroit Lions' win over the New England Patriots on Sunday night, breaking a streak that dated back to 2013.

The Lions hadn't had a 100-yard rusher since Thanksgiving 2013, when Reggie Bush ran for 117 yards.

The 70-game streak was the fourth-longest drought in NFL history. The rookie snapped it in just his third professional game.

"I think it was probably the moment I was drafted [I heard it], I can't remember for sure," Johnson said. "I think it was probably around that time. That was the first time I heard it. Obviously it wasn't the last.

"But it was the last time I really cared about it. Like I said, I came in ready to work, ready to run. We came in ready to work. We came in ready to run. And that's how we went through the offseason, that's how we went through fall camp, and that's how we went through the regular season."

Jets Claim They Knew Matthew Stafford's Signals

Sep 11, 2018 8:59 AM

The New York Jets claimed they knew Matthew Stafford's signals after they intercepted him four times on Monday night.

"We were calling out their plays as he was getting up to the line," linebacker Darron Lee said.

"We knew his signals. We knew everything. That's just preparation as a defense. ... It seemed like we were in his head as a defense."

The Jets said they weren't stealing signals, attributing the success to thorough preparation and scouting.

They defeated the Detroit Lions 48-17 at Ford Field.
