Ndamukong Suh has been suspended for the Detroit Lions' playoff game at the Dallas Cowboys for stepping on Aaron Rodgers' leg twice, once with each foot.

Suh also applied pressure and pushed off Rodgers' unprotected leg with his left foot, violating unnecessary roughness rules, the league said in a statement.

Suh, who will be reinstated next Monday, can appeal the suspension within three days. He can ask for an expedited appeal, which would be heard by Ted Cottrell, a hearing officer employed by the NFL and the players' union. No hearing is scheduled, but one could happen as soon as Tuesday.

Ndamukong Suh Will Let Agent Pick Team In Offseason

Dec 11, 2014 7:35 AM

Ndamukong Suh said Wednesday that his agent, Jimmy Sexton, will be the one to decide where he signs this offseason.

"It'll be Jimmy's decision, so we'll go with that," said Suh, who has steadfastly not discussed his contract throughout the season. "You can call Jimmy."

Whenever Suh has been asked about his contract this season or even dollar amounts he might be looking for, he has been consistent in saying "Ask Jimmy."

Suh is in the final year of his rookie deal from being the No. 2 pick in the 2010 draft that averaged $12.6 million per year and had $40 million guaranteed.

Suh has 38 tackles and 5.5 sacks.

"All you have to do is turn on the film," Lions coach Jim Caldwell said. "I think everybody that plays against us can see what kind of impact he has on a ballgame.

"He's a wrecking crew that most people don't leave him alone."
