The Detroit Lions and DeShawn Shead have agreed to terms on a one-year, $3.5 million, according to a source.
The cornerback can earn as much as $6.5 million through playtime incentives.
Shead was released by the Seattle Seahawks on March 12.

The Lions had tried to find a trade for the tight end, but ultimately were unsuccessful.
Ebron's $8.25 million salary would have become fully guaranteed on Wednesday afternoon.

He is also reportedly meeting with the Detriot Lions.
Murray was cut by the Tennessee Titans earlier this month.
Jonathan Stewart To Visit With Lions
The Detroit Lions would like to add a veteran presence to their run game and are expected to meet with Jonathan Stewart on Monday.
Stewart was cut by the Carolina Panthers after spending 10 seasons with the franchise.
The running back will turn 31 later this month. He averaged a career-low 3.4 yards per carry in 2017.
