The Cleveland Browns agreed to a four-year, $5 million contract with Charlie Frye, the fourth quarterback selected in the 2005 draft.
"I'm real excited," said Frye, who played at Akron. "I can't wait to get in there. I've been a Cleveland Browns fan my whole life and this is a perfect situation for me."
After passing for 11,478 yards in four years with the Zips, Frye was regarded as one of the top quarterbacks in last year's class. Some predicted he might go as high as the first round, but he fell to the Browns at No. 67 overall.

Boulware Still Without A Contract
After working out for several teams including the Cleveland Browns, free-agent linebacker Peter Boulware is still without a contract for next season.
"We're still interested and will evaluate it next week with the coaches, but there's nothing imminent," Browns General Manager Phil Savage said through a team spokesman.
Boulware was released by the Baltimore Ravens after reportedly turning down a $2 million contract offer. He missed the past 18 games with knee and toe injuries.
Lerner Will Stay With Browns
The sale of his credit card company MBNA will have no affect on Randy Lerner?s ownership of the Browns according to Lerner himself, who referred to owning the Browns as ?a privilege and an honor.?
``I don't connect them in any way, and I hope others don't make the connection either,'' Lerner said. He added that owning the Browns means that he owns ``the single greatest asset on the planet Earth.''
