Aug 26, 2020 1:29 PM

The average NFL franchise is worth more than $3 billion, according to data compiled by Sportico.

The Dallas Cowboys rank first in the NFL at $6.43 billion with the Cincinnati Bengals ranking last at $2.12 billion.

The fair-market value of the NFL's 32 franchises collectively is $99 billion when considering team-related businesses and real estate held by owners.

The teams’ $15.83 billion in revenue in the last fiscal year, which represents the 2019 season, was greater than that of 298 companies on the Fortune 500. That averages to about $495 million per team.

In 2019, the Cowboys generated an estimated $871 million in revenue, which was 81% greater than the average of the other 31 teams.

Sean McDermott Understands Doubts About Josh Allen

Aug 20, 2020 9:24 AM

There have been doubts about whether Josh Allen can become one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and Sean McDermott is aware of the sentiment.

McDermott said that Allen's continued development is "at the top of the list" of things that the Buffalo Bills need this season.

"Well, I think that's understandable," the coach said of doubts. "Until you're able to silence that, it's going to continue to come up. I think at the end of the day Josh wants to prove himself inside the building first and I think he continues to do that and show his teammates who he is and what he's capable of."

Aug 13, 2020 4:05 PM

Dion Dawkins has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Buffalo Bills worth $60 million. The deal will also include $34 million in guarantees.

Dawkins was entering the final season of his rookie contract.

"My main priority is to get better, and I know if I continue to grow and learn and get better, then all of the chips will eventually fall," Dawkins told ESPN in March. "As far as a new contract, I'm not worried about it. Whatever is supposed to happen is going to happen.

"I'm trying to be in Buffalo forever, so I've just got to do my part, and when the time comes, I'll be happy to sign on that dotted line."

Sean McDermott Signs Extension With Bills Through 2025

Aug 12, 2020 1:29 PM

The Buffalo Bills have signed Sean McDermott to a contract extension through 2025.

McDermott became the Bills' coach in 2017 and has gone 25-23 in three seasons as the team's coach.

McDermott has led the team to the postseason in two of his three seasons, losing in the wild-card round each time.

"Sean's leadership on and off the field has been nothing but genuine and transparent, qualities we appreciate as owners," Bills co-owner Kim Pegula said in a statement. "He is the same great person to us, the players and everyone across all our organizations. We will never forget how impressed we were during his first interview. Sean's attention to detail was apparent back then and his process driven approach has brought great stability to our organization. We are happy to extend his contract and keep him in Western New York for many years to come."
