Scott: Rex Ryan Was Always 'Head Coach' Of Ravens
Bart Scott, who left the Ravens for the Jets this offseason, knocked Baltimore coach John Harbaugh recently.
The linebacker claims that new Jets coach Rex Ryan, formerly the defensive coordinator with the Ravens, ran the team.
"He was always the head coach," Scott told the Carroll County Times in reference to Rex Ryan's tenure in Baltimore. "He was the head coach of that football team last year, whether you guys know it or not. He kept that team together. The defense leads that team over there, and he controls that defense."
Ravens Rookie Arrested As Cell Phone Is Mistaken For Gun

Fein's agent claims it was the officer that got physical.
Ravens Game Could Decide Jets' QB Battle
The Jets could leave Baltimore on Monday night knowing who will start at quarterback to begin the regular season.
"If there's such a thing as a special preseason game, I think this is it," Ryan told The Associated Press.
Rookie Mark Sanchez, who is believed to hold a slight lead over Kellen Clemens, will start for the first time in the game.
"It's going to be good for us," Sanchez said, "and obviously a great measuring stick against a tough defense."

Derrick Mason Ends Retirement
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason ended his retirement on Saturday.
Mason called team owner Steve Bisciotti on Saturday morning, expressing his desire to return. The 35-year-old Mason showed up at training camp after the morning practice session and met with general manager Ozzie Newsome.
The Ravens then announced that Mason would be in uniform for Sunday's practice.
"It was a tough decision, but I think it was a good decision for me to come back," Mason said in a statement. "I needed to evaluate my life, football and my career.
"I still have an intense fire inside me, and I want to play. ... I felt like I had left something undone, and I wanted to finish it. I believe this is a good example for my son and my daughter on how to be thoughtful and also follow through."
On July 13, Mason said, "After 12 years, I have seen it all and done it all. Right now, I am content with the decision I am making. All good things come to an end, and I am ready to see what else life has to offer."
