Dolphins, Saints Have 85 Percent Vaccination Rate

Jun 18, 2021 10:17 AM

The Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints are the only two NFL teams that have 85 percent of their players either fully vaccinated or on the way to reaching that status, according to a report.

Teams that have 85 percent of their players fully vaccinated are expected to have relaxed protocols this summer and during the season.

Mike Tomlin said this week that he didn't know the exact percentage of the Pittsburgh Steelers' players that have been vaccinated, but said "what I understand we're tops in the league in terms of this process."

The deal includes $28.4 million guaranteed.

A 2018 third-round pick, Baker was approaching the final year of his rookie deal.

"I want to play here for the rest of my career. I love it here. I love the fans. I love the organization. I love everybody here," Baker said last week. "Yeah, I definitely see myself playing here for a long time."

Dan Marino: 'Don't Want' Bill Belichick To Top Don Shula In Wins

Jun 3, 2021 9:00 AM

Dan Marino is hoping Bill Belichick doesn't surpass Don Shula on the NFL's all-time coaching wins list.

Shula, who coached Marino for the first 13 years of the quarterback's 17-year Miami Dolphins career, surpassed George Halas as the NFL's winningest coach in 1993.

Shula has 328 wins (347 including playoffs). However, Belichick is lurking in the wings with 280 wins, just 48 shy of matching Shula as the NFL's winningest coach.

"I hope he don't get it," Marino said emphatically. "I'm a Dolphin for life. Coach Shula for life. I don't want him to get it."
