Jerry Jones: Cowboys Unfazed By Odell Beckham, Jr. Incident

Nov 30, 2022 8:53 AM

The Dallas Cowboys remain interested in Odell Beckham, Jr. despite the wide receiver's removal from a flight at Miami International Airport on Sunday.

"His overall team compatibility, his judgment, his behavior is not an issue with him," Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. "It is with many. It isn't with him."

Police said Beckham was "in and out of consciousness" and refused to leave the plane when asked. His attorney, Daniel Davillier, disputed the account, saying his client had been sleeping and the incident was the result of an "overzealous flight attendant."

Jones said Beckham is scheduled to meet with the Cowboys on Monday, which is after he is reportedly set to meet with the New York Giants and Buffalo Bills.

Jerry Jones' Sights Back On Super Bowl After Win

Nov 21, 2022 1:11 AM

Last week, Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones used the word "frustrated" over and over again after an overtime loss at the Green Bay Packers. On Sunday, following a 40-3 win against the Minnesota Vikings, Jones said he believes the Cowboys are Super Bowl contenders.

"A resounding yes. Yes. Unequivocally," Jones said. "I think we've had adversity. We very easily could have more adversity ... Yes, I think if we use the experience of what we're having in the season, then we're going to be playoff ready. But I sure do think that what I see out here right now is the team like that you could go get a Super Bowl with."

Mike McCarthy Laments Penalties, Not Fourth-Down Call

Nov 14, 2022 1:17 AM

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy knows the ins and outs of Lambeau Field better than anybody, having coached for parts of 13 seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

Facing fourth-and-3 from the Green Bay 35-yard line on the first possession of overtime Sunday, McCarthy passed on trying a 53-yard field goal into the wind, with Dak Prescott instead throwing incomplete. Six plays later, the Dallas Cowboys lost 31-28 to the Packers, falling to third place in the NFC East.

Jerry Jones: Odell Beckham, Jr. 'Could Look Pretty Good' With Cowboys

Nov 9, 2022 8:47 AM

The Dallas Cowboys are making their interest in Odell Beckham, Jr. very clear.

Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas that Beckham "is someone we have all the appreciation in the world for what he is as a competitor and know that the Cowboys star on the helmet when he puts it on could look pretty good."

In eight career games against Dallas, Beckham has 40 catches for 558 yards and seven touchdowns.

Beckham told Complex in a video tweeted Sunday that when he signs with his next team, he'd like it to be a multiyear situation. The Cowboys were one of four teams he mentioned.

"Whether it's Buffalo, whether it was Green Bay calling, the Cowboys, reunion with the Giants, I want to be able to spill my last -- not saying I only got three or four [seasons] left -- but these next three or four years into something where I can buy a home, like I can call this place home. I'm tired of living out of two-week suitcases, I've done the rock-and-roll life," he said.
