Joe Burrow: Bengals 'Not Satisfied' With 5-2 Start

Oct 28, 2021 8:51 AM

The Cincinnati Bengals are 5-2 after last week's 41-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Joe Burrow is making it clear that the Bengals aren't rejoicing about their fast start.

"We still haven't played our best game. We're 5-2, we're in a great spot, but we're not satisfied," Burrow said. "We're gonna keep going, keep coming to work every single day to get better. The sky's the limit for us."

Bengals' Joe Burrow Still On Voice Rest

Oct 21, 2021 9:02 AM

Joe Burrow continues to have throat issues ahead of Sunday's Cincinnati Bengals-Baltimore Ravens game.

For the second straight week, Burrow did not participate in his weekly Wednesday media availability because of lingering effects from a throat contusion.

Despite the issue, Burrow is expected to play Sunday.

"The doctors said he should rest a little bit more, so that's what we're going to do," Zac Taylor said.

Burrow played in last weekend's win over the Detroit Lions. After the game, he spoke for nearly 10 minutes in his first media appearance since the throat became a problem. Burrow was taken to the hospital following the Bengals' overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 10.

Joe Burrow On 'Voice Rest' After Throat Contusion

Oct 14, 2021 8:48 AM

Joe Burrow is on "voice rest" following a throat injury that required a precautionary hospital visit.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback did not meet with the media for his weekly news conference. According to the team, the medical staff advised that Burrow speak as little as possible after he went to the hospital Sunday to be evaluated for a throat contusion.

He is still expected to play Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

"Everything's going good," Zac Taylor said. "We're just limiting what he has to say and how he's gotta use his voice through today."
