Vontaze Burfict Officially Suspended Four Games

Apr 13, 2018 8:25 AM

The NFL has officially suspended Vontaze Burfict four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

It was reported in March that the Cincinnati Bengals linebacker was facing the suspension for a failed test on Dec. 27 of last year.

Burfict is expected to appeal based on the fact that he was on prescribed medication for the concussion he suffered on Dec. 4 and a shoulder injury suffered on Dec. 24.

He has been suspended in the past, but for on-field transgressions.

Eric Reid To Meet With Bengals

Apr 9, 2018 4:43 PM

Eric Reid will meet with the Cincinnati Bengals, which is his first free agency meeting.

Reid spent his first five seasons with the 49ers.

Reid tweeted at the beginning of the league year that he wasn't receiving interest from teams because of his decision to protest during the national anthem.

"The notion that I can be a great signing for your team for cheap, not because of my skill set but because I've protested systemic oppression, is ludicrous," he said. "If you think is, then your mindset is part of the problem too."

Reid was the first player to protest beside Colin Kaepernick.

A.J. Green Doesn't Think Giants Are 'Crazy' Enough To Trade Beckham

Apr 2, 2018 11:25 AM

Trade rumors have swirled around Odell Beckham and the New York Giants in recent weeks, but A.J. Green doesn't think anything will come of the whispers.

"That's stupid. That's stupid, man," Green told NFL Network on Sunday. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime, or once-in-a-generation talent, man, and you've got to be ready. I think he'll get paid. They not that crazy."

Ian Rapoport has reported that the Giants would seek a first-round pick and more for Beckham, who is entering the final season of his rookie contract.
