The Chicago Bears waived former fifth-round pick and Ohio State stand-out Craig Krenzel on Tuesday. Krenzel is known for being the first Bears quarterback in nearly 40 years to start his career with three straight victories.

Johnson faces a felony gun charge after police found a loaded 9mm handgun in his vehicle Sunday around 3 a.m. The police were responding to a call from a valet at a night club who reported seeing Johnson move a handgun from his lap to the center console of his sport utility vehicle. The Chicago Bears defensive lineman was released on $10,000 bail yesterday. The Bears have declined to comment.

The Chicago Bears signed their sixth-round pick Chris Harris to a four-year contract on Wednesday. The nation?s leader in interceptions out of Louisiana-Monroe, Harris will receive a $100,000 signing bonus, which represents a 25% hike over what last years 181st overall pick received.
