Three weeks after being dismissed by Boston College, Jeff Jagodzinski was hired Thursday by the Buccaneers to be their offensive coordinator, as reported by the Associated Press.
Jagodzinski, who led BC to the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game in each of his two seasons, was fired January 7 after being told he would be let go if he interviewed for the Jets? coaching vacancy.

Browns Hire Kokinis As GM
Ravens' pro personnel director George Kokinis has been hired as the Browns' GM, reuniting him with new head coach Eric Mangini, according to an Associated Press report on Sunday.
Kokinis was hand-picked by Mangini, who recommended him during his first interview with Browns' owner Randy Lerner on December 30. Mangini took over as the Browns' coach on January 7, just one week after he was fired by the Jets.
Niners Sign Safety Jimmy Williams
Jimmy Williams, a former starting defensive back who was out of football last season, signed Thursday with the 49ers.
The Atlanta Falcons released the highly drafted Williams last summer after he fell out of favor with new head coach Mike Smith. The Falcons were unhappy with Williams' weight after he reported to workouts at more than 230 pounds.
Later, Commissioner Roger Goodell handed the free agent a five-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. No team wound up signing him last season.
The 49ers, however, are hopeful that Williams, a former Virginia Tech standout, can recapture the promise that made him the 37th overall pick in the 2006 draft. Listed now at 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, Williams has experience at cornerback and safety.
Dolphins Sign Two-Time Canadian Football League MVP
Linebacker Cameron Wake, a two-time winner of the CFL's top defensive player award, has signed with the Miami Dolphins.
Wake played the past two seasons with the British Columbia Lions, winning the defense award both times. He had 137 tackles and 39 sacks in that time and was named the Canadian Football League's top rookie in 2007.
Wake played at Penn State and signed with the New York Giants before joining the Lions.
Broncos Hire McDaniels As Head Coach
Patriots' offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has agreed to become the Broncos? next coach, team spokesman Patrick Smyth said Sunday night, according to an Associated Press report.
McDaniels, 32, replaces Mike Shanahan, who was fired December 30 after 14 seasons with three years and $21M left on his contract.
ESPN was the first to report the hiring.
